Spring Newsletter / RCB Weekend Announcement - February 22nd 2011

The February 2011 version of the Rho Chapter Alumni Association (RCAA) newsletter is now available. The newsletter includes an update from RCAA President Jake Bendel P.1031, details on RCB (April 9th), a housing update, chapter update and RCAA dues news. Check it out.

Red Carnation Ball - Updated Feb 23, 2011

This years Rho Chapter Red Carnation Ball (RCB) will be held in Morgantown on April 9th, 2011. Details are as follows:

Tickets
Tickets are $70 for members & $95 for non-RCAA members, dates are no-charge. Please pay by March 31. Use Pay Pal on the rhotkealumni.org website, or pay by check. Go to the “Dues & Donations” page for details.

Lazy Lizard
RCB will be held upstairs at “Da Lazy Lizard Lounge” on High Street and features dinner, drinks, and dancing. Events begin 6pm.

Hotel Morgan
Make reservations at the near-by Hotel Morgan, call them at 304-292-8200. Alternatively, try the nearby Waterfront Place Hotel at 866-782-9974.

Alumni Meeting and Officer Coronation
The semi-annual Alumni Meeting will take place at 2pm Sat. April 9 at the TKE house, 692 N. High St. All alumni welcome.

Golf Outing
Saturday, you are invited to join an active-alumni round of golf with tee-times beginning at noon. Reservations required. Nine-hole cost with cart is $20/per. If you’d like to play, email Gabe at gibellino.gabe@gmail.com .

House Update - May 14th 2010

Another chapter in Rho TKE history is complete. It has now been one fully school year for our chapter under the roof of our new house!

From a housing perspective the year had it's ups and downs. The first half of the year the property was under a temporary housing permit while key aspects of the construction project were completed. Examples being the basement, laundry room, kitchen and driveway. The actives had a few issues maintaining acceptable occupancy levels in the beginning of the year which resulted in fines by the city but were able to adjust their approach and processes accordingly as the year went on.

During the second half of the year the laundry room with three washers/dryers was finished and a concrete driveway was paved over spring break. See updated housing pictures including pictures of the new drive below. 692 North High Street now has a city approved maximum capacity of 133 people. To help accommodate the 70+ active members, RCAA raised funds for and purchased 72 folding chairs and 2 folding tables for chapter and alumni events at the house.

Going into the 2010-2011 school year there are still a number projects that chapter could use our help and support with including finishing the bathroom in the basement, finishing the kitchen and painting the basement. All 33 leases have been signed for next year which gives us a full house again! If you would like to support the RCAA and the chapter in completing these projects, donations can be made easily through Paypal, Credit Card or check by using our dues and donations webpage.

New RCAA Officers - April 19th 2010

Every year at RCB, Rho Chapter Alumni Association elects new officers for the coming WVU school year. RCB was held Saturday April 17th in Morgantown and during the RCB weekend alumni meeting the following fraters accepted the challenge to lead our alumni association during the 2010 - 2011 school year.
